35 animals rescued from home juvenile was living in

Thibodaux Chief of Police Scott Silverii announced the arrest of Lorencia Raffray (W/F, 45, 1424 Oakley Street in Thibodaux) for thirty-five (35) counts of Animal Cruelty and Cruelty to Juveniles. She was released from the Lafourche Parish Detention Center after posting a $500 bond.

Around 1:50 p.m. on Friday, December 6th, Police received a tip of animal hording at Raffray’s home on Oakley Street, and that a Juvenile was living there as well. Police recovered fourteen (14) adult cats, eighteen (18) kittens, and three (3) dogs living inside the home infested with feces and urine.

The animals were brought to the Lafourche Parish Animal Shelter for treatment, while the Juvenile was allowed to stay with family members until the conditions of the home could be improved.
