Investigators seek to identify suspects in metal theft

Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of persons associated with the theft of scrap metal from a welding and fabrication business in Thibodaux. Detectives are investigating multiple instances of theft which were reported on March 31, April 29, and May 3. In each instance, scrap metal was stolen from the business.

Investigators believe individuals are stealing the metal to sell to scrapyards for cash.
